Hey, I know this is a stretch, but someone one here might know. I'm in the US and I want to ship something to Australia to my girlfriend. The package needs to contain 3 items. A card, a pair of earrings, and a tin of Old Bay (a crab spice) that measures about 3"x3"x2". Is it best to cut a box down to size or get an envelope. I'm asking here, because I don't want everyone at the post office to kill me tomorrow.

You can use your own box, just make sure to wrap stuff in bubble wrap to protect it during its journey.

It's best to go in and buy a USPS bubble mailer envelope. They are a set price.

USPS International is actually really good... I sold a Carbonio air intake off my GTI to a guy in Perth several years ago, he got it in 2 days. Cost was under $30 at the time.

Yes, yes I know. But, I'm a lucky guy. She puts Old Bay on everything and I couldn't be happier. She will need a refill in a few weeks.
